Who were these people who wrote the songs of the Broadway stage musicals and Hollywood movies that we know and love? What made them so good? Why has their music lasted for generations? Who and what inspired them? What cultural and social influences fueled their creativity? These are the questions that are answered in the Timeless Melodies programs.
The creator of Timeless Melodies is Larry Maurer, a passionate and devoted student of American music. In his presentations, Larry weaves anecdotes, history and the magical music of the Golden Age into a richly textured and joyous interactive experience. A Timeless Melodies presentation offers audiences a wonderful new appreciation for the music, as well as for the American spirit and ingenuity that it celebrates.
